HOLLYWOOD ACROSS AMERICA: Aspiring actors don’t have to trek to Hollywood to see if they have what it takes.

The Chicago Actors Forum, a hands-on workshop and showcase, will take place June 25-26 at Loyola University’s Flanner Performance Hall as part of the Midwest leg a cross-country tour.

For the first time, top casting directors from the major networks and studios will join New York theater professionals as well as the best of Chicago’s acting community to meet with actors, educate them on the process, watch them perform, and search for new talent.

Tickets are available at hollywoodacrossamerica.com or (888) 429-5585.

“The workshops give actors the tools they need to have a successful career, things like how to get great representation, how to market yourself, how to do a cold reading — everything parents of minor children or seasoned actors need to know about the business,” Hollywood Across America co-founder said Marc Pritcher said.

“What makes this event so unique is the alliance of professionals from Los Angeles, New York and Chicago — all these heavy hitters under one roof for one weekend. Their combined knowledge base is unequaled.”

This event features the most acclaimed Hollywood and New York casting directors and agents who will observe, advise and guide aspiring talent.
